Areas of Practice

Klaus primarily focuses on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and international contracts, including within the offshore industry and construction law. He advises contractors, developers, and construction consultants, and in this connection has conducted both arbitration proceedings and litigation before the High Courts and the Supreme Court.

Klaus K. Kjær is a certified board attorney and serves as a board member in a number of Danish and international companies. As a member of Danske Bestyrelsesadvokater, he continuously undertakes further training in leadership, strategy, financial management, and related disciplines. In his role as a board member, he has a particular focus on the intersection between commercial operations and the corporate legal competencies required to ensure optimal business performance.

Klaus K. Kjær is also appointed as an external examiner in Business Law at Danish universities and serves as Honorary Consul for Sweden.

Education

Klaus graduated with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Aarhus University in 1985.
