Mads is engaged in project development in relation to real property. He has contributed to the implementation of several large property and investment projects, particularly in the capital region but also in other parts of the country.
For several years, Mads has specialised in broad, commercial advice to clients, particularly within the real property industry.
For several years, and as part of his business area, Mads has contributed significantly with value-added advisory services for clients in connection with development projects, both in relation to the construction of individual detached houses, townhouses, and larger residential properties.
In connection with development projects, he typically provides 360-degree advisory services throughout the entire process — from purchase of building plots/properties and the negotiation of construction contracts to the conclusion of purchase agreements with end buyers, whether they are long-term institutional investors or private home buyers.
As part of his work, Mads often advises on the structuring of transactions, including establishing security structures for creditors and dealing with other stakeholders such as homeowners' associations, utility companies, neighbors, or public authorities.
In addition to advising on development projects, Mads has considerable experience in advising both buyers and sellers in connection with major property transactions.
An important part of the process of purchasing properties involves a thorough due diligence phase, where any legal and commercial issues can be identified and subsequently incorporated into the final contract negotiations.
An essential aspect of his work is to continuously align the clients' expectations in relation to, among other things, the criteria of substantiality in connection with a due diligence process in order to ensure that the process remains as streamlined as possible, and to avoid that negotiations get bogged down in theoretical legal issues.
In addition, Mads provides ongoing day-to-day advice for clients on a wide range of commercial and legal matters.
