Mark Søtrup is a partner and head of Kirk Larsen & Ascanius’ insolvency department and is a certified insolvency attorney.
Mark has in-depth knowledge of insolvency law, with a particular focus on bankruptcy and restructuring, as well as legal matters relating to agriculture, including succession planning, transfers and ownership structures within the agricultural sector.
Mark advises several major mortgage credit institutions and banks in connection with the handling of distressed companies.
Through his work within insolvency law, he has gained extensive theoretical and practical experience and has handled bankruptcy estates across all industries.
In recent years, Mark has handled a significant number of insolvent agricultural businesses and, on this basis, has substantial experience in both maintaining ongoing operations and carrying out transfers of all or parts of distressed businesses.
Mark also has extensive knowledge of credit and security law matters and advises clients on the establishment, perfection and enforcement of all types of security interests.
For Mark, it is essential to provide commercially grounded advice with a focus on value creation.
